Abstract Art: Title Withdrawn IV.

A red bit of a meaty substance sitting on top of a purple-blue shimmery bit. Atop is a brown bit that ducks off to the right with various brown squiggles, followed by an orange-gold bit that ducks off as well. With a shadow in front of yellow walls.

Animal, mineral, or vegetable? Why not all three?

Lots of doings and goings on lately. I guess that’s what the above, titled Title Withdrawn IV. represents. The general business of things big and small. All these atomic movements that will not cease. It’s a lot to take in.

I finally modified my apache2 configuration for Miniflux so that it isn’t some red-headed stepchild and gets served to me via the regular web server. I think technically this is known as a reverse-proxy. It wasn’t hard to get working, though I had to poke around a bit to get the UNIX socket to show up on reboots.

The 2024 election is approaching. I hope you will consider registering to vote. The presidency gets too much media coverage, but the whole House is up for election, along with a third of the Senate. All those races matter, and you get to cast a vote in at least two of them if you’re eligible. But you have to register. You can find out more at https://vote.gov/.

Meanwhile, it looks like the recent WordPress update has messed my theme up. All the basic “what’s new” stuff doesn’t say anything about that. It’ll probably be until my private instance is updated that I can fix it, so enjoy the chaos until then. I know I will.

Edit: Seems I needed to migrate my theme.json to a new version: WordPress: Developer Resources: “Migrating Theme.json to Newer Versions”. In my case I also needed to add an extra CSS override to get my separators to look correct. They really need to add a way to disable specific opinionated styles they try to enforce (or better documentation if there’s already a good way to do).
