Art: Bat Room.

From left to right, a pictogram equation in three parts. The first part shows the word ‘bathroom’ over a stick figure. The middle part shows the loose parts being added: a redaction rectangle and a pair of pointy. Those two parts added together equals the third part: the words ‘bat room’ and a batman stick figure.

‘Where does he get those wonderful decorative soaps?!’ —The Joker.

What would Batman’s Bat-room (bathroom) be like? One of those ultra-fancy Japanese toilet-bidet combos? Something even more advanced? Is everything black? The Bat-toilet? The Bat-sink and Bat-faucet? The Bat-hand-towels? Or does he wash his hands using ultrasound?

How does he get in there? A Bat-pole like in the television show, or does it have an attached garage so he can drive the Batmobile in?

It also brings up the Bat-suit’s ease-of-use when he’s gotta go. Does he wear a diaper in that thing, or does he have a way to do his business without taking the whole thing off?

Anyway, just a fun little image. Bathrooms don’t get a lot of coverage in science fiction (Demolition Man being a rare exception; also, 2001: A Space Odyssey features “Zero Gravity Toilet” instructions), so it’s interesting to consider.
