Art: Inside a Monster’s Mouth at Night.

A cloudless and moonless night sky seen from the inside of a monster's mouth dominated by sharp teeth.

The perspective of the inside of a monster's mouth is hard to draw.

Despite the perspective being off, I still like this one. The juxtaposition of the calm night sky with the scary point of view. And again, the dark image means you don’t need to worry as much about details.

I tried several times to sketch out what it should look like, but this is where we ended up. You can’t really give the full peripheral vision in an image like this, is part of where I went wrong. But it does raise the question of whether there are limited-perspective VR stills being made. I don’t think the current ones give you full peripheral vision anyway? Never used one myself.

For a plain image, you have to cut your own vision off at some point. I assume but do not know for sure that artists have some measure of where that tends to be in your normal field-of-view.

Anyway, another spooky-and-calm image, kind of like the last in a different way.
